It seems that there is a new Cryptonight miner out there optimized for AMD RX Vega GPUs called Xrig, though it should also work on other AMD video cards. Performance wise it should be similar to other high-performance AMD RX Vega miners like Cast-XMR or XMR-stak, meaning 1900-2000 H/s, depending on the settings. What makes it more interesting is the built-in hardware monitoring as well as options to configure clocks and voltages via a config file. Xrig is open source, though the default Windows binary is with 1% dev fee included and it apparently starts with developer fee mining when you run the miner before it continues to your configured pool.
The miner comes with GPU reset script and devcon.exe bundled, however it may not work out of the box as you need specific version of devcon.exe depending on your Windows version. So if the bundled devcon for the Windows does not work for you, here is an easy way to obtain the required devcon version. Other than that, well you should try the miner and compare what kind of performance you are getting with it on your Vega 56/64 GPUs or other AMDs an if it works better than other alternative options. If not using a config file (you need to create one, example is available on Github) do not forget to set the intensity command line parameter in order for the miner to work.

Raven (RVN) is an interesting coin that has been under the radar for many people up until recently when it got hyped and the interest in it has grown seriously in the past days. Initially the coin was only CPU mineable, then a ccMiner version with support for the X16r algorithm used by the coin was introduced for Nvidia miners by tpruvot however that miner has been a bit troublesome for many users due to power spikes and mining systems rebooting, so people had to reduce TDP or downclock and suffer performance loss in order to mine stable. Fortunately there is a new improved miner available now – ccMiner Enemy 1.03 that offers better performance and more stable mining with higher TDP and clocks (still depending on your hardware).
The ccMiner Enemy 1.03 fork for Raven (RVN) mining is available only as a 32-bit Windows binary for the moment and is compiled for CUDA 8, it supports the X16r algorithm used by RVN as well as X17. For better performance the latest 390.xx drivers from Nvidia are recommended, so make sure you are up to date. If you are mining Raven (RVN) or had plans to do so, but were set back by the problems from the initial miner you should definitely try the new release as it should handle much better. AMD miners are still unable to mine Raven as there is no compatible X16r miner available yet, though there is a substantial bounty for anyone willing to make one.

When it comes to mining ZCash (ZEC) or other Equihash-based crypto coins on Nvidia GPUs for most people it is time for the EWBF ZCash CUDA miner, however it seems that the development of that miner has been abandoned a while ago. There have been a few alternatives available that we have covered with dstm’s ZCash Cuda Miner being a very promising successor. The problem with it was that there were a few key features that were missing up until recently, but that is no longer the case with this miner. So if you were reluctant to give it a try, now you might want to reconsider and test it on your Nvidia mining hardware.
dstm’s ZCash Cuda miner version 0.6 adds failover pool support, one of the features that we wanted to see the most to make this a really good alternative. It is not failover pool support only however, the latest version introduces support for configuration files as well and an option to control mining intensity for the GPUs. There are also a number of other new features added as well as improvements that might be useful for some people, but we can already say that dstm’s ZCash Cuda miner is now the better miner when compared with EWBF ZCash CUDA miner, so if you are still using EWBF’s software you might want to give dstm’s one a go. Do note that dstm’s ZCash Cuda miner should be faster performing in terms of hashrate with the same settings, also there is a 2% developer fee included with this closed source miner.
