KNC Titan 2.0 Miner is a Convincingly Looking SCAM

If you end up on a website claiming to be the relaunched KNC Miner trying to sell you a new Scrypt ASIC miner dubbed Titan 2.0, then you should know that this is not a website related in any way to the new owners of KNC Miner after last year the company went bankrupt prior to the last halving of Bitcoin (BTC). The KNC TITAN 2.0 miner promises to deliver 750 MHS Scrypt hashrate at 1300W power usage and a ready for mining kit including a power supply is being advertised with at price of $1499 USD, but it seems that this is not an actual product and just a convincingly looking SCAM trying to steal some of your hard earned coins (accepted payments are only in crypto – BTC, LTC, ETH, STEEM or XRP). So stay away and do not get mislead by the seemingly good offer, it is simply not real!
If you want to get an up to date specification wise Scrypt ASIC miner for mining Litecoin (LTC) or other crypto currencies, then you should go for either Innosilicon A4 Dominator or the more recently announced Bitmain AntMiner L3+. Both of these are confirmed actual products and work just fine for Scrypt mining, though you should still be careful where you buy your mining hardware if it is not directly from the manufacturer! The recent spike in the price of Litecoin (LTC) has sparkled more attention to the altcoin and as a result the number of people trying to profit at the expense of regular users have also increased, so it is advised to be careful what you do with your hard earned crypto coins.
Litecoin (LTC) has been going up in terms of price in the last few weeks for a number of reasons including the upcoming SegWit support, Lightning Network and now the addition of trading pairs for the crypto currency by Coinbase. There was also a report that in the past 24 hours, over 1 million $LTC has been traded on GDAX. This is finally something that is really making LTC interesting again after the last couple of years when nothing much was happening and Litecoin wast moving much. Another interesting piece of information about the popular ASIC manufacturer Bitmain as apparently the company is planning to launch their first Antminer L3 Scrypt Miner. Some of you might remember that back in 2014 Bitmain was planning to launch Antminer L1 Sctypt ASIC miner, but that one never came into existence. Apparently back then the company reached a stage that allowed even without launching a product to continue working and get an even more efficient solution and here comes the L3. There is some information available about the device already, even though it is not yet officially listed on the English website of Bitmain (you can find a product page on the Chinese one).
You can find some photos and even some early performance results online from peopel that managed to get some early units apparently, including a tweet from charlie Lee who created Litecoin (LTC) about getting one of these devices. More general availability is expected sometimes in February probably because of the incoming Chinese New Year, so we are going to have to wait some more time. What is the most interesting thing about the Bitmain AntMiner L3 Scrypt ASIC miner is the efficiency that the device not only apparently promises, but also delivers – 250 MHS hashrate with just 400 Watt power usage. This makes is significantly more power efficient compared to its only competitor with a recent generation of Scrypt ASIC hardware available – Innosilicon A4 Dominator (280 MHS at 1000W). The price listed on the product page is 1.825 BTC or a little over $1600 USD at the current exchange rate. Do note that the Antminer L3 ASIC does come without a power supply, but with the power usage the device has it does not require expensive and harder to find power supply, a decent 500W PSU should do just fine.
