If you are looking to mine PascalCoin (PASC) on your crypto mining hardware you need to check out the RHminer for the RandomHash algorithm. The miner is open source with official binaries available fo Linux and Windows for different CPUs as well as for more-recent Nvidia GPUs. The current implementation of rhminer for the RandomHash algorithm does manage to provide faster performance on a more recent CPU than on Nvidia GPUs, the faster the CPU and the more the cores you have – the higher performance you will get. Still there is work being done to further optimize Nvidia GPU performance (currently supported are Kepler, Maxwell, Pascal and Volta architectures with their own binaries). By default the official binaries are with 1% developer fee built-in, though you can compile from source with no dev fee if you want to have that removed.

There is another interesting alternative to maximize the performance of your GPU mining rigs if you use the Nanominer for GPU mining and at the same time for RandomHash CPU mining as the miner supports this kind of dual mining mode. Of course this solution will be better if you have a more powerful CPU and not a slow Celeron processor as this may actually hinder GPU performance in some cases if you try to dual mine… still it won’t hurt to give it a try.

With Monero (XMR) forking in a day to te new CNv4 (CryptoNight R) algorithm there are more GPU miners getting ready and supporting the new algorithm and the latest XMR-Stak is no exception. It might not be the first to support CryptoNight R as SRBMiner has been available for a while for AMD with CNv4 support. XMR-Stak 2.10.0 however does offer support not only for AMD GPUs, but also for Nvidia and even CPU miners, so it is your universal CryptoNight R miner. Performance wise in our initial tests XMR-Stak is just slightly faster in terms of hashrate compared to the latest SRBMiner 1.8.0, but the advantage is neglectable and the difference with the default developer fee eats away the additional hashrate you get.

Of course it also supports number of other CryptoNight variants including the new cryptonight_v8_reversewaltz used by Graft with their recent fork and pretty much any other more popular CN variant out there as well. Do note however that the official binary release comes with a 2% development fee, you can compile the miner yourself from source (it is open source) with different or even no developer fee however should you decide to.

When we are talking about Cryptonote (Cryptonight) miners for AMD GPUs our preferred miner is SRBMiner due to the large range of supported variations and features, however there is a good competitor available and that one is called JCE Cryptonote CPU+GPU miner. The JCE miner is a closed source software available as a binary for Windows only (for the GPU) and with 0.9% developer fee for the GPUs (the separate CPU miner is with higher fees, Linux version is available for this one). In terms of performance the JCE miner is pretty much on par with the fastest alternatives like SRB, sometimes it might be a bit faster, sometimes a bit slower, depending on the algorithm and settings. For instance our latest experience shows a bit better performance for Tube mining using JCE compared to the latest SRB 1.7.7 on RX 580. The JCE miner does support a lot of the Cryptonothe (Cryptonight) variations out there, so you can use it to mine pretty much all popular variants.
