With the current low prices of altcoins and low mining profit in general it is always a good idea to check for potential new coins – either new releases or ones that have higher profit at the moment. So a new profitability mining calculator is always handy to have, especially if it offers more algorithms and supports more coins that other more established and well know such services. ShitToMine is a new such service that offers a more extensive mining calculator, covering more mining algorithms, including even some CPU ones as well as with more coins – over 300 being tracked at the moment.

There are presets for automatically setting hashrate and power usage for the latest generation of Nvidia GPUs, though unfortunately not available for all of the supported algorithms, so you will still need to fill in some values manually. Unfortunately no option for CPU algorithms or AMD GPUs at the moment to help you with hashrate and power in order to calculate profitability easier, you have to do it manually. Do note that there is also a section for ASIC miners with algorithms for the ones available where you also need to manually fill in hashrate and performance.

There is apparently more work needed to be done, it is still beta version, but it looks promising and can be useful, so we do recommend that you give it a try and see if you may find something useful as information and that goes not only for the mining calculator.

The latest EWBF Cuda Equihash Miner v0.5 comes with some performance optimizations and fixes for various variations of the Equihash algorithm it supports for GPU mining on Nvidia-based rigs. You can expect to see a speed increase of 3-15% depending on your mining hardware for Equihash 144,5 as well as 2% for Equihash 210,9 with the latest update. The new version also fixes the problem with cropped performance on fast (1080 Ti, Titan) gpus for Equihash 96,5 as well as the “low difficulty shares” problem, on Aion pools for Equihash 210,9. So if you are mining any of the Equihash Equihash 192,7, 144,5, 96,5 or 210,9 variants yo umight want to give this miner a go. Do note it does not support the Equihash 200,9 that was originally the algorithm called Equihash and used by ZCash (ZEC) that is currently mineable by ASIC miners. We are also reminding you that the EWBF Cuda Equihash Miner is a closed source miner, there are CUDA 8.0 and 9.1 binaries available for Windows and Linux and there is a 2% developer fee built-in by default.

Bytom (BTM) mining support has been introduced in the previous Bminer 9.0.0 release and back then it was faster than the alternative miner. Since then however the NebuTech BTMiner has taken the lead in terms of hashrate. With the new Bminer 9.1.0 that substantially increases the BTM mining speed with up to 30% over the previous version Bminer is catching up, but still a bit behind what the latest NebuTech BTMiner 7.0 is providing.

With Bminer Bytom (BTM) mining support (tensority algorithm) was originally introduced to support f2pool mining and it seems that not all mining pools are still supported, for example Bitmain’s AntPool still does not work in the new version, though the problem is probably related to the pools that use of workers instead of payment addresses. So apart from further improvements in performance this is another thing that needs work in order to be competitive as far as BTM mining goes.

Bminer also supports mining of Equihash and Ethash, but both of these algorithms have been taken over by ASIC miners already or will soon be, even though Ethereum and some other Ethash coins are still often found in the top of most profitable coins to be miner in mining calculators. We remind you that this is a closed source Nvidia GPU miner available for Linux and Windows in the form of pre-compiled binaries and that there is a 2% development fee for BTM and Equihash, 0.65% for Ethash and 1.3% for dual mining Ethash and Blake.
