kncminer-titan-scrypt-asic-miner

Earlier this month KnCMiner has announced that they are ready to start shipping the Titan Scrypt ASICs and they are apparently already doing so, though a bit late than they initially announced. Users on the Bitcointalk forum are reporting that they are seeing status updates on their pre-orders for the first batch of KNC Titan Scrypt ASIC miners that are apparently being shipped and they are getting tracking numbers. The pre-order price of the 300 MHS KnCMiner Titan Scrypt ASIC miner was $9995 USD without VAT and since their initial announcement they have been upgraded to 300 MHS hashrate (for the first batch) and to 400 MHS for the second batch. With the current price and the expected difficulty increase for Litecoin and other Scrypt-based crypto currencies the ROI time for these machines does not promise to be short. Not to mention that users that have received their units already are not too happy with the results – hardware issues and lower than advertised performance seem to be common, higher power draw than advertised is also reported and each cube still has a single PCI-E power connector for 250W+. Could KnC be following in the footsteps of BFL, decent start and then starting to disappoint customers more and more until the company gets shut down by the government?

zeusminer-rockminer-partnership

ZeusMiner is making ASIC Scrypt miners, however it seems that the company is also interested in offering Bitcoin mining hardware as well and as a result they have announced a partnership with a well-established brand in BTC mining – Rockminer. As a result of this partnership between the two companies you can purchase the 800 GHS Rockminer T1 ASIC miner at a price of just $369 USD, a nice deal if you are looking to invest in SHA-256 mining hardware. The Rockminer T1 is rated to provide 780-840 GHS hashrate with a power usage of about 1000 Watts, do note that the miner does not come with a PSU included, so you will need to buy it separately and unfortunately this adds extra cost if you don’t yet have a powerful PSU available. Do note that ZeusMiner does ship from China, it is not yet clear if the distributors of Zeus will also be offering Rockchip miners and if the price will be as good.

bitmain-antminer-s4-asic

Bitmain has just posted a teaser about an upcoming product in the form of a Bitcoin ASIC miner – AntMiner S4. The new miner is supposed to offer 2 THS hashrate, but no other specifications or price is yet revealed. The tester does say however that the new miner should be available for order by the end of the week and it should start shipping to customers by the end of September. So it seems that the company is returning back to their previous way of doing business – announcing new miner and starting to ship it soon after orders are accepted and paid. Unlike with their recent announcement of a pre-order Scrypt ASIC miner – Bitmain Antminer L1 that did get not so positive feedback from users that are not happy with pre-orders that they have to wait for months.
