Apart from QuickMiner NiceHash and NBMiner that already have full LHR unlock for Nvidia’s GPUs with Low Hash Rate (LHR) there is now a third option available. The T-Rex miner comes along with 100% LHR Unlock for the Ethash and AutoLykos2 crypto algorithms on v1 and v2 Nvidia LHR video cards, only the latest v3 LHR GPUs – RTX 3080 12GB and RTX 3050 are not yet supported. Do note that the full LHR unlocker on T-Rex requires 512.xx version of the driver on Windows, and 510.xx on Linux in order to function properly. Also make sure to run the T-Rex miner with administrative privileges in order for the unlock to work.

Team Red Miner is a performance optimized cryptocurrency miner for AMD GPUs with support for a number of algorithms with the latest version 0.7.1 bringing support for the KAWPOW algorithm used by Ravencoin (RVN) as well as introduces support for Navi GPUs for KAWPOW and Ethash. TeamRedMiner is the 4th software (after WildRig Multi, nanominer and NBMiner) for mining Ravencoin (RVN) after its fork to the new KAWPOW algorithm on AMD GPUs. And it certainly makes a good appearance with its initial support getting it the top spot in terms of performance at least in our test o RX 580 GPUs where it outperformed the competition with at least 1 MH/s over the second fastest miner.

Expected hashrates for KAWPOW:
– RX 5700XT: 28+ MH/s
– Radeon VII: 40+ MH/s
– RX Vega56/64: 25+ MH/s
– RX 580: 14+ MH/s
– RX 570: 13+ MH/s

The miner is available for both Windows and Linux operating systems, a closed source software with 2.5% to 3% development fee built-in for all algos except Ethash and KAWPOW, for KAWPOW it is 2% and for Ethash on Polaris GPUs the dev fee is 0.75% and on all other GPUs is 1.0%.

The latest WildRig Multi 0.23.0 Beta AMD GPU miner has added support for the the KAWPOW algorithm now used by RavenCoin (RVN) as well as ProgPoW used by Super Zero (SERO). The latest release also adds --benchmark option for ProgPoW algorithms (including KAWPOW) as well as added --benchmark-epoch option for estimated hashrate benchmark results for specific upcoming epoch number. The WildRig Multi is the third option for AMD GPU miners to mine the new KAWPOW algorithm and unfortunately is currently the slowest in our tests on AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB GPUs. The fastest one for AMD GPU miners currently seems to be nanominer followed closely by NBMiner. Still you might want to test and compare performance on your AMD GPUs to see what works best out of the three options as on different AMD GPUs there cold be difference in the hashrate with each of the miners.

The latest WildRig Multi is currently available for Windows, Ubuntu Linux and HiveOS as a closed source binary and with a 2% developer fee built-in by default, though it can be lowered to 1% using --donate-level=1. Only the wildkeccak algorithm is with fixed 2% dev fee with no possibility to be changed by the user using the command line parameter.

Update: The newer version 0.23.1 does bring a bit of a performance boost, but we are also seeing a lot of low difficulty share errors with it, so probably not quite there yet to compete with the alternatives! Also a good news is that the default dev fee has been lowered to 1%, so no need to use the extra command line option to do that manually anymore.
