The AEON Project has been available for a while already, launched back in 2014 using CryptoNight-Lite as Proof of Work algorithm, but apparently a few days ago, on October 25th, there was a successful fork to a new PoW mining algorithm called K12. KangarooTwelve (K12) Keccak is an algorithm that is already available for FPGA and might eventually also be made available for ASIC miners in the future, so it is an interesting move considering what most other crypto projects are doing – getting away from FPGA/ASIC mining and even GPU mining for some lately. According to CoinMarketCap AEON is currently ranked around the 500th place with a market capitalization of around 4 Million USD and a low trading volume of less than 10K daily. It will be interesting to see how will things progress some more days after the fork to the new K12 FPGA algorithm.

If you are interested in mining AEON with FPGA miners, you might want to check out Hash Altcoin’s Blackminer F1 miners, do note however that the mini miners do not seem to currently support the new K12 algorithm. If you are interested in purchasing F1 FPGA miner and have it hosted by Hash Altcoin by the end of this month there is a nice promo with a $500 USD coupon for electricity. You can also use our invitation code ZLOZLA in order to get a $100 USD coupon code for your next order (can be used for electricity costs as well if hosted by them). Some good crypto exchanges to trade AEON coins include Bittrex and HitBTC.

Hash Altcoin has prepared an upgraded version of their Blackminer F1 Mini FPGA Miner that was released earlier this year. The new Hash Altcoin single-chip FPGA miner is called Blackminer F1mini+ and is just $10 USD more expensive, but the extra price comes with faster performance and a cooler included with the product, so you will only need a 12V power supply and you will be ready to mine with the device. There is another catch however and that is the fact that the new miner currently supports only 3 different algorithms: Veriblock, Verus2 and Odo, though others will most likely be added soon. The device uses around 110-120W of power and is priced at $189 USD, shipping should start from November 8th.

Blackminer F1mini+ Specifications:
– Weight: 271g (net weight) 490g (with package)
– Size: 17cmx16cmx11cm (with package)
– Power: 110~120 W
– Noise: under 50db

Just like the original single chip device, the new upgraded F1mini+ also offers a chance for users on a tight budget to try FPGA mining without having to spend significantly larger amount on a larger Blackminer FPGA device. For a $10 USD discount you can try the promo code GnH2Kw to get an even better deal. Do note that the F1 Mini miners are not intended to be hosted by Hash Altcoin, only the larger miners can be hosted.

The latest WildRig Multi Beta AMD GPU miner has added support for the MTP algorithm used by ZCoin (XZC) as well as the MTP-TCR varian used by Tecracoin (TCR). The support for the MTP algo also includes AMD’s Radeon 5700 and 5700XT GPUs, so you can try the new GPUs as well if you have mining rigs based on them. TCR is a project many of you may not have heard of, so you might want to check it out – its main idea is centered around Graphene uses, it has started with an ICO and also has Masternodes supported.

The latest WildRig Multi is currently available for Windows, Ubuntu Linux and HiveOS as a closed source binary and with a 2% developer fee built-in by default, though it can be reduced. wildkeccak and mtp-tcr algorithms are with fixed 2% dev fee with no possibility to change by the user.
