Team Red Miner is a performance optimized cryptocurrency miner for AMD GPUs with support for a number of algorithms with the latest version 0.7.1 bringing support for the KAWPOW algorithm used by Ravencoin (RVN) as well as introduces support for Navi GPUs for KAWPOW and Ethash. TeamRedMiner is the 4th software (after WildRig Multi, nanominer and NBMiner) for mining Ravencoin (RVN) after its fork to the new KAWPOW algorithm on AMD GPUs. And it certainly makes a good appearance with its initial support getting it the top spot in terms of performance at least in our test o RX 580 GPUs where it outperformed the competition with at least 1 MH/s over the second fastest miner.

Expected hashrates for KAWPOW:
– RX 5700XT: 28+ MH/s
– Radeon VII: 40+ MH/s
– RX Vega56/64: 25+ MH/s
– RX 580: 14+ MH/s
– RX 570: 13+ MH/s

The miner is available for both Windows and Linux operating systems, a closed source software with 2.5% to 3% development fee built-in for all algos except Ethash and KAWPOW, for KAWPOW it is 2% and for Ethash on Polaris GPUs the dev fee is 0.75% and on all other GPUs is 1.0%.

Here comes another update after the recent BMiner 16.1.0 release, the new Bminer 16.2.0 adds support for the new KAWPOW mining algorithm to be used by Ravencoin (RVN) after the fork later today as well as support for the ProgPoW algorithm used by crypto coins such as SERO. Preformance wise ProgPoW and KAWPOW hashrate does not seem to be much different than what all other miners with support for Ravencoin’s new algorithm currently offer. The new version also brings improvements to the performance when mining Aeternity and BFC, so worth updating if you are mining either of those as well.

Do not that although Bminer does support AMD and Nvidia GPUs, not all of the algorithms will work on AMD hardware, so it is mostly usable for Nvidia GPU owners. Have in mind that neither KAWPOW, no ProgPoW currently work on AMD GPUs, so yo can use this software for mining Ravencoin after the fork and SERO only on Nvidia. The same also goes for the Aeternity and BFC algorithms that got some performance boost in the latest release, they also work only on Nvidia GPUs. So far the only KAWPOW miner that supports AMD GPUs is NBMiner, so if you have Radeon GPUs and want to mine RVN after the fork it will be your only option for now.

We remind you that that Bminer is a closed source Nvidia GPU miner available for Linux and Windows in the form of pre-compiled binaries and that there is a standard 2% development fee for most algorithms supported such as Grin, Beam, Bytom (BTM), Equihash and Zhash coins, 0.65% for Ethash and 1.3% for dual mining Ethash and Blake.

The latest NBMiner 30.0 update comes with a built-in replacement for the OhGodAnETHlargementPill memory timings optimization tool for Nvidia GPU owners of GTX 1080 and GTX 1080 Ti with GDDR5X video memory. The implementation from NBMiner does however requires the use of a custom unsigned driver under Windows and admin privileges under Linux, so not as easy as just running a custom executable file to enable the tweaks. Once implemented however it could allow for greater flexibility as you have the option to use different levels of optimizations for the memory timings via command line parameters. Have in mind that not all crypto algorithms may benefit from memory timings optimization, here are the two options you need to use to enable and activate the memory tings optimizations in the latest version of NBMiner.

--mt, --memory-tweak Memory timings optimize for Nvidia GDDR5 & GDDR5X gpus. range [1-6]. Higher value equals higher hashrate. Individual value can be set via comma seperated list. Power limit may need to be tuned up to get more hashrate. Higher reject share ratio can happen if mining rig hits high temperature, set lower value of -mt can reduce reject ratio. Under windows, a custom driver need to be installed before using -mt, see description of --driver for more detail. Admin priviledge is needed to run under linux, sudo ./nbminer -mt x. OhGodAnETHlargementPill is not needed anymore if -mt is enabled when mining on 1080 & 1080ti GPUs.
--driver Windows only option, install / uninstall driver for memory tweak. Run with admin priviledge. install: nbminer.exe --driver install, uninstall: nbminer.exe --driver uninstall. Note: the installed custom driver is not signed by microsoft, users need to disable secure boot in BIOS settings to get the driver work.

We remind you that the NBMiner is a closed source GPU miner for Nvidia CUDA and now AMD as well that is available for both Windows and Linux operating systems and it has the following developer fee built-in: tensority_ethash 3%, tensority(Pascal) 2%, tensority(Turing) 3%, ethash 0.65%, cuckaroo & cuckatoo & cuckaroo_swap 2%, progpow_sero 2%, sipc 2%, bfc 3%, hns 2%, hns_ethash 3%, trb 2%, trb_ethash 3%, kawpow 2%.
