It seems that the Todek TODDMINER C1 is not going to be the only Eaglesong ASIC miner out there, Bitmain is also joining the fun with their Bitmain AntMiner K5 ASIC miner. The TODDMINER C1 promises to deliver 1.6 TH/s hashrate with 1100 Watts of power usage with $4100 USD price and supposedly already shipping, while the Bitmain AntMiner K5 is rated at 1130 GH/s hashrate with 1580 Watts of power usage and a price of about $1400 USD or significantly cheaper. Bitmain plans to start shipping the K5 Eaglesong ASIC miners in the first half of April and they are only available on their Chinese website for the moment. Eaglesong mining has started with GPUs and has relatively quickly moved onto FPGA mining and now it seems the transition to ASIC mining is starting to take place. Hashaltcoins BlackMiner F1+ does 22 GH/s and F1-Ultra does manage t get you 26 GH/s hashrate at the moment, so ASIC miners will really offer much faster performance when they become available and will significantly increase the total network hashrate.

On 3 March 2020 the K5 was showing an unbelievable profit of USD$500 per day…. but the K5 does not ship until mid April?! Profit calculations have been significantly dropping every day and will likely hit (at best) USD$10-15 profit per day in the next few days. ASIC miners usually only remain profitable for about 6 months. Thus, by the time that the average user gets these machines they are unlikely to be profitable for very long and then shortly just useless.

Yes, unfortunately Bitmain most likely is testing the first units they have produced before they start shipping them to customers and the Toddminers should already be shipping, so very soon CKB mining won’t be profitable at all for FPGAs and in a month or two it could also be unprofitable for ASICs…

DO NOT BUY this useless piece of trash, it’s an elaborated scam:
1) pump a shitcoin with btc before your asic annoucement in preorder, to raise interest and fake earnings
2) start the preorder without turning the units on before the soldout, so the difficulty won’t raise. After this event, turn them on and profit with the units you have just sold, that you will need to ship in 45 to 60 days
3) After this timeframe, where you ve profit from the sale and multiple Break Even due to mining, ship them to the clients, being compliant to the sale you did 45 days before

Repeat the process with any other shitcoin may arise.
Bitmain announced this doorstopper because of the leaked news of other brands.
Bitmain and asic producers are a cancer in this world

i have just got a Toddminer hosted and initially started at 1.4Th/s then steadily dropped to .265Th/s. (hopefully this can be quickly sorted) It will make about $24/day or 3875 CKB. Add in more Toddminers once they have been shipped and the eventual Bitmain K5’s, there will be very little profit.
