CryptoDredge 0.9.3 With CryptoNight v8 Support and Performance Improvements

The latest version 0.9.3 of the CryptoDredge Nvidia GPU miner for both Linux and Windows introduces support for the new CryptoNight v8 algorithm that Monero (XMR) just recently forked to as well as some performance improvements and fixes. You can expect to get something like 1000 H/s mining Monero (XMR) on GTX 1080 Ti with the ETHlargementPill (dependig on your GPU settings), without the pill the hashrate is lower. You can expect to get some extra performance for mining crypto coins that use Allium and Phi2 with the new CryptoDredge 0.9.3. Our usual reminder that the CryptoDredge miner is a closed source software that comes with 1% built-in developer fee with binaries available for both Windows and Linux (CUDA 9.1/9.2). CUDA 10.0 release is not yet available for the 0.9.3 version, though it should most likely be as there was a binary for the previous version.

New zjazz 1.2 AMD and Nvidia Miner With Support for Merit, BitCash and SUQA

If you are mining Merit (Cuckoo Cycle Edgebit 26), Bitcash (Cuckoo Cycle Edgebit 27) or SUQA (X22i) on AMD or Nvidia GPUs you might want to check the just released update for the zjazz CUDA and OpenCL 1.2 closed source miner and start using it or just upgrade if using older version. Both the AMD and the Nvidia versions (separate downloads) of the zjazz 1.2 miner come with stratum connection stability improved (should help efficiency on all supported algorithms), but AMD users also get some optimizations added to X22i algorithm or with other words some additional performance increase should be noticeable.

The Cuckoo Cycle algorithm used by MRT and BITC is CPU intensive and the zjazz miner provides multiple options to reduce the CPU load if you are mining on a GPU mining rig with a slower processor that is having trouble coping up, so make sure you check these out. Do note that the zjazz miner is a closed source software available as binary releases for both Windows and Linux and comes with a built-in development fee of 2%.

Cryptonight V8 and X22i Mining Rigs Available for Rent on MiningRigRentals

Monero’s planned upcoming hardfork to the new CryptoNight/CryptoNote V8 proof of work algorithm is going well and will just about a day left and miners already supporting the V8 algorithm people are getting ready to mine XMR. Even services such as MiningRigRentals where you can rent or lease mining rigs are already supporting the new V8 algorithm with rigs available. NiceHash however has also added support for V8, including support for their latest NiceHash Miner, so you can expect quite a lot of hashrate after the fork coming from the service.

The SUQA project that we recently introduced is continuing to gain more interest from users and its X22i algorithm has just been added to MRR. The good news for miners is that X22i is still too new and not big enough to catch the interest of NiceHash, though if things continue this way it will happen sooner or later. Anyway, SUQA is developing nicely with network hashrate growing as more users join the mining process and the project is progressing well on their announced roadmap, even though there is still some skepticism surrounding the 10% developer fee from each mined block.
