New SRBMiner 1.6.6 Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner With Fixes and Improvements

There is an update for the popular CryptoNight AMD GPU miner SRBMiner that brings some fixes and improvements, though this time no new algorithms are being added in version 1.6.6. The most interesting new feature in the latest version is the algo/coin switching protocol currently in beta, though you should know that in order for this to work the pool must support it. There is just one pool at the moment that supports the new switching protocol and that one is Monero Ocean that supports 9 different CryptoNight-based coins at the moment. To enable this new mode you need to add the --usealgoswitching parameter in your command line for running the miner. The fee for using the miner in algorithm switching mode is ~0.91%. The only not so great thing about this new feature however is that when a switch of the algorithm/coin is happening the miner is being restarted, so it takes some extra time to start mining for each switch. New Faster z-enemy 1.15a Nvidia GPU Miner With HEX Support

The latest zealot/enemy-1.15a (z-enemy) from Dk and Enemy was released soon after the previous version 1.14 was made publicly available and it brings more performance improvements as well as a support for a new mining algorithm. The hashrate has been further increased with about 1 to 5% for the following algorithms: X16, X17, HSR, Renesis, Xevan, Sonoa, Aergo, Poly, Phi1612. With these performance improvements z-enemy might once more be the fastest X16 miner out there, though for Renesis, another recently added algorithm the latest T-Rex miner is still faster in terms of performance.

The new z-enemy 1.15 has also added support for the new HEX mining algorithm that has been announced just a few days ago as introduced by the XDNA project. The working principle of HEX is calculating the block hash with a pseudo-random sequence of 16 different algorithms (kernels): BLAKE / BMW / GROESTL / JH / KECCAK / SKEIN / LUFFA / CUBEHASH / SHAVITE / SIMD / ECHO / HAMSI / FUGUE / SHABAL / WHIRLPOOL / SHA2. The latest public release of z-enemy-1.15a has a fix for the difficulty and allows you to use maximum intensity of up to 25 in order to further increase the performance of HEX with another +7% to +15% if your GPUs can handle the extra load properly. If you are looking for new coins using new mining algorithms, then XDNA and HEX might be an interesting choice for you, though XDNA is actually not a new coin release, it has been available for a while, just the HEX algorithm is new.

CryptoDredge 0.8.3 Nvidia GPU Miner With Improved Performance and Fixes

The development of the still relatively new CryptoDredge Nvidia GPU miner is moving pretty fast in lately with a number of minor releases made available in just a few days of time bringing some performance improvements, fixes and new features to the miner. Since the latest major release CryptoDredge 0.8.0 there is an improvement in Allium, Lyra2z, and Phi2 performance for low-end and middle-end graphics cards, a fix P2Pool bug related to many rejected shares as well as a fix TCP and WebSocket connections used for API along with added power consumption monitoring. Then there was a fix for a Phi2 bug related to smart contracts implemented, an improvement of about 3% for PHI2 as well as a much more significant boost of up to 30% for Tribus and a fix for Lyra2z performance on 1070 Ti and P104-100 graphics cards. And our usual reminder that the CryptoDredge miner is a closed source software that comes with 1% built-in developer fee with binaries available for both Windows and Linux (CUDA 9.1/9.2).
