With the current low prices of altcoins and low mining profit in general it is always a good idea to check for potential new coins – either new releases or ones that have higher profit at the moment. So a new profitability mining calculator is always handy to have, especially if it offers more algorithms and supports more coins that other more established and well know such services. ShitToMine is a new such service that offers a more extensive mining calculator, covering more mining algorithms, including even some CPU ones as well as with more coins – over 300 being tracked at the moment.
There are presets for automatically setting hashrate and power usage for the latest generation of Nvidia GPUs, though unfortunately not available for all of the supported algorithms, so you will still need to fill in some values manually. Unfortunately no option for CPU algorithms or AMD GPUs at the moment to help you with hashrate and power in order to calculate profitability easier, you have to do it manually. Do note that there is also a section for ASIC miners with algorithms for the ones available where you also need to manually fill in hashrate and performance.
There is apparently more work needed to be done, it is still beta version, but it looks promising and can be useful, so we do recommend that you give it a try and see if you may find something useful as information and that goes not only for the mining calculator.

RebTech is a Romanian company that you may never heard of, but they do offer some interesting GPU mining related products that you might be interested in checking out. We are mostly interested in the RebTech Blockchain Motherboard that and the RebTech Blockchain Video Card as both products are certainly interesting in their design and functionality and are clearly made with GPU miners in mind. The company also seems to be building what they call Blockchain mining servers based on these two products they offer, so you might be interested in these as well. But first let us take a look at the Blockchain motherboard and video card and why they are so interesting…
The RebTech USB-VGA AMD Radeon RX470 8GB video card may seem like a traditional RX 470 GPU, but it is not, it is designed specifically for use for GPU mining (Ethereum in particular as a focus). These GPUs do come with a built-in PCI-E extender via USB transfer cable with direct USB connector onboard instead of a traditional PCI-E slot. They use a specific mounting plane and the lack of a traditional x16 PCI-E slot on the board allows for some clever new ways of mounting the GPUs. Even though they are apparently designed to be used for mining these video cards still do feature a single HDMI video output, so that you can connect a display. Now we would love to see similar designs with more powerful AMD GPUs as well as with Nvidia GPUS…
The RebTech 8GPU-MB mining motherboard is what is more interesting here as it offers an all-in-one solution with everything you need to setup up to 8x GPU mining rig with it. The motherboard comes with AMD A6-8500 CPU with integrated GPU, 4G DDR3 RAM, 120G MSATA SSD and features 8x USB/PCI-E extenders on board. The whole thing is similar in size and in form factor to a GPU and you can apparently mount it just like another video card in your mining configuration. What makes it even more interesting is the fact that the motherboard is powered with 12V only via a single 6-pin PCI-E power connector, again just like a video card. This means that you can go with a cheaper and more efficient server-type power supply that only outputs 12V, similar to what most popular ASIC miners go along with.
Both the RebTech Blockchain Motherboard and the Blockchain Video Cards are interesting products for miners, especially for those interested into larger scale operations as the products do offer some interesting and very useful advantages. The only thing that worries us a bit here is that although the company claims to be in the mining business since 2012 their website is just two months old…
A while ago we have written about the launch of ASIC miners for Bytom (BTM) from Bitmain right in time when Bytom was actually launching their network. The Antminer B3 ASIC miners for Bytom were offering 780 H/s with 360 Watts of power usage and this essentially has made CPU mining pointless right from the start. Since then however there has been some development regarding the use of GPUS and Nvidia ones in particular for mining BTM and surprisingly or not at this point of time you can get better performance from video cards than what the ASICs can provide you with, depending on your mining rigs of course. So if you are interested in mining Bytom (BTM) and have Nvidia-based mining rigs you might be interested to give this a go. Currently it may not be that profitable, but mining some coins now and holding them for the better and brighter future of Bytom (BTM) may not be a bad idea.
The NebuTech BTMiner is a closed source Bytom (BTM) GPU miner for Nvidia CUDA that is available for both Windows and Linux operating systems and the latest version works pretty well, just have in mind it has a 3% developer fee built-in. The only drawback it is that the miner and the documentation is in Chinese only, but you can easily figure things out and start mining in no time on a pool of your choice that supports BTM such as F2Pool or AntPool for example. The miner itself is console only, though there is a GUI as well, but also only in Chinese, so better stick to the console anyway. The funny thins is that you can beat the performance of an Antminer B3 ASIC with just a single GTX 1080 Ti GPU, let alone with a rig of 6 of these GPUs, so for once the expensive ASIC miners are not doing that great. Make sure that you have an up to date Nvidia video driver installed – version 396 or newer as otherwise you will be getting an error and will not be able to use the software for mining. The miner has an option for mining rigs with more powerful CPUs that can increase the performance a bit more extra than on regular mining rigs with slow and cheap dual core CPUs. Overclocking the memory does not help much, though GPU clock can increase performance, you can also play with the power consumption as even lowering the TDP to about 60-70% may not decrease performance that much, even though the miner can be power hungry normally, so play around and report your findings in the comments below.
