sgminer-50-windows-latest

It has been a while since we have compiled a windows binary of the new sgminer 5.0 based on the latest (source) as it seems that the version 5.0 is already out of beta. The sgminer 5.0 is trying to provide an unified and feature-full GPU miner by integrating the kernels for mining various crypto currencies in a single miner, including support the latest algorithms. Do note that the kernels included with this release may not be the fastest out there in terms of performance for X-based crypto currencies as there my be other forks that offer higher performance. This is just a windows binary that we have compiled from the latest source, so if you are using the official sgminer and not some fork you might want to check out the latest version.

sph-sgminer_luffa512

There is now a sph-sgminer fork with Luffa512 algorithm support available thanks to djm34 (source), the guy that just released ccMiner fork with Luffa512 support. We have compiled a windows binary from the latest source and have already tested it mining DoomCoin on an AMD Radeon R9 280X GPU to see what performance we are going to get – the result was about 143 MHS (faster than current performance on Nvidia GPUs). You can download and try the windows binary yourself from the link below. Do note that this version of sph-sgminer also supports most other new algorithms as well, so you an use it for mining not only DoomCoin. Also make sure to be using the latest 14.6/14.7 beta drivers from AMD in order to get the best performance and currently it seems that Nvidia GPU miners have some advantage in terms of performance for this algorithm.

sgminer-x17-windows

There is now a new fork of sgminer 5.0 beta that brings x17 algorithm support for mining crypto currencies such as People’s Coin (PPL) on AMD-based GPUs. The new fork is by the developer of the PPL coin (source) and it completest the GPU support along with the already available ccminer X17 fork by djm34 for Nvidia GPUs. We have compiled a windows binary from the latest source of the miner and tested it on an AMD Radeon R9 280X GPU getting almost 2500 KHS. You can download and try the windows binary yourself from the link below. Do note it is recommended to be using the latest 14.6/14.7 beta drivers from AMD in order to get the best performance.
