Team Red Miner is a performance optimized cryptocurrency miner for AMD GPUs with support for lyra2rev3, lyra2z, phi2, CryptoNight v8 (CNv2) and CryptoNight R (CNv4), X16 variants, MTP, Cuckarood29 and Cuckatoo31 and now adding Ethash support as well in the latest 0.6 release. The miner is available for both Windows and Linux operating systems, a closed source software with 2.5% to 3% development fee built-in for all algos except Ethash, for Ethash on Polaris GPUs the dev fee is 0.75% and on all other GPUs is 1.0%.

A quick test of the Team Red Miner 0.6.0 for mining ETH (current DAG 299) on AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB GPUs has shown hashrate very similar to what other Ethash miners are capable of delivering on the same hardware, so performance wise things seem to be very good. Of course why to switch from one Ethash miner that you might be already familiar with such as Claymore’s Dual Miner to another that has just introduced support… that is up to you to decide, though you should give it a try.

The latest WildRig Multi Beta AMD GPU miner has added support for the MTP algorithm used by ZCoin (XZC) as well as the MTP-TCR varian used by Tecracoin (TCR). The support for the MTP algo also includes AMD’s Radeon 5700 and 5700XT GPUs, so you can try the new GPUs as well if you have mining rigs based on them. TCR is a project many of you may not have heard of, so you might want to check it out – its main idea is centered around Graphene uses, it has started with an ICO and also has Masternodes supported.

The latest WildRig Multi is currently available for Windows, Ubuntu Linux and HiveOS as a closed source binary and with a 2% developer fee built-in by default, though it can be reduced. wildkeccak and mtp-tcr algorithms are with fixed 2% dev fee with no possibility to change by the user.

A week ago there was a fork for the BitCash (BITC) project in order to switch to the new X16Rv2 PoW algorithm. Due to some issues however GPU mining ended up not working up properly, so only CPU solo mining was possible for a week and another fork was planned to fix the problem. Today the new fork has happened and the good news is that X16Rv2 GPU mining is now possible after the successful fork. Due to the fork the difficulty of mining BITC is currently lower and you might want to take advantage of this and play around with the T-Rex miner and the X16Rv2 algorithm if you have some Nvidia GPUs and wondering what to mine. As for a good pool where you can mine BitCash on, you might want to check out IceMining or alternatively the second option is to go for GOS.cx
