The latest NBMiner 21.0 that has just been released comes with support for Aeternity (AE) as well as improved miner stability and performance for the Grin29 and Grin31 algorithms (Cuckaroo29 and Cuckatoo31). Performance wise the new version does seem to catch up to the competition regarding Cuckaroo29 hashrates (the latest Gminer is still slightly faster) and could currently be the fastest miner for Cuckatoo31 in terms of hashrate (at least for Windows on GTX 1080 Ti) compared to BMiner and GMiner. Stability wise Cuckatoo31 however could use some more improvements as we see the miner crashing on some systems that otherwise work just fine with competing miners.

We remind you that the NBMiner is a closed source GPU miner for Nvidia CUDA that is available for both Windows and Linux operating systems and it has the following developer fee built-in: tensority + ethash – 3%, tensority (Pascal GPUs) – 2%, tensority (Turing GPUs) – 3%, ethash – 0.65%, cuckaroo29 and cuckatoo31 – 2%.

Another new addition of algorithm by the NiceHash platform for selling and buying hashrate for various crypto algorithms with ZCoin’s MTP algorithm now supported by the service. Unfortunately sellng your hashrate for MTP on NiceHash is only possible on Nvidia with their latest NiceHash Miner Legacy 1.9.0.15 or you can just download the bin_1_9_0_15.zip and extract just the ccminer_mtp folder and use the ccminer fork from djm34’s MTP miner with NiceHash support (the original version from djm34 does not support NiceHash).

Unfortunately no other miner currently supports the MTP algorithm on NiceHash for the moment, that covers both the latest WildRig Multi for AMD that has MTP support temporary removed, though it should be back, not the sgminer Fork With MTP Support From djm34. The latest CryptoDredge 0.17.0 miner that also supports the MTP algorithm also does not yet support mining on NiceHash with that particular algorithm for Nvidia GPUs.

Furthermore the ccminer mtp fork for NiceHash that is included in the latest NiceHash Miner Legacy does not seem to be very stable and reliable. Our initial results with it are not very good as if it starts properly on a system with GTX 1080 Ti it works fine for a couple of minutes and then starts returning errors… that is if it starts properly and on some machines it does not even start mining properly. So there is definitely more to be desired regarding MTP support on NiceHash, hopefully third parity miners with MTP support will soon provide updates to work o NiceHash as well and offer better stability.

The latest CryptoDredge Nvidia GPU miner version 0.17.0 comes with added support for a few new algorithms such as CryptoNightTurtle and CryptonightGPU as well as the Cuckaroo29 algorithm used by Grin and CuckooCycle algorithm for Aeternity. Since Grin is getting a lot of attention lately, we should let you know that CryptoDredge does not yet seem to support Cuckaroo29 on NiceHash and also that performance wise it is slower than others like Bminer and GMiner that are currently the top performing Grin miners on Nvdia GPUs. Aethernity performance using the CuckooCycle algorithm is also not the best compared to the other alternative solutions already available, so these two algos can use some optimizations.

Do note that the CryptoDredge miner supports only Nvidia GPUs and is a closed source software that comes with 1% built-in developer fee for all supported algorithms, however the dev fee is 2% currently only for MTP mining (Zcoin), there are binaries available for both Windows and Linux (CUDA 9.1/9.2/10.0).
